Have you ever made a tessellation? If not then you should try. They are really fun, but use alot of imagination so you have to really think. This is how to start: Start with a tile from one of the three regular tilings. Cut from the top and paste back on the bottom, and then do the same on the sides. I had to make a tessellation for math and this is how mine turned out. 
I know, I know it looks super weird! But hey you try and get your creative parts going. And when you are not that good an artist (hint hint: like me) it is somewhat difficult. :)
