New Moon Midnight Showing!!!!

As you all may already know I am a HUGE Twilight Saga fan! I have read all the books have the game, candies, a shirt, etc... Well this time I was fortunate enough to go to the midnight showing on Thursday night of the sequel of Twilight, New Moon! I had never been to a midnight showing before so the experience was really great. I went with Gavin and my Dad. When we got there however we met up with some of our other friends, Sarah, Emily and Dylan. When we got there the line to get in was wrapped around the whole back of the theater, and it was really cold outside. Anyway, we got in and had to go search for seats. The first seats we found where in a really uncomfortable place. It was like the third row at the very bottom! We had to look up to see the seats. Thankfully, Sarah's mom Tracy along with some of her other friends found another theater that still had a line and they were towards the beginning of the line meaning we would get a lot better seats. So we all went over there and waited in line. While we were just standing there in line, waiting for the theater to open I had to go to the bathroom really bad so Emily, Sarah, and I headed for the bathroom. When I was done using the restroom and was opening the stall to go wash my hands and get back in line, I realized the switch thing to get out was stuck! I was horrified I thought I was going to be stuck in the bathroom and there was no way I was going to crawl. So I used all my strength and finally after about another minute or so, I got out! We went back to the line and then were let into the theater. Once in the theater we got really good seats and we all sat down while some people went and got refreshments. Finally after everyone was back, there were a few brief announcements from the manager, and they played the "please turn off your cell phone" commercial like 500 time (and no I am not exaggerating) the movie finally started! Overall I thought it was a good movie but not as good as they made it out to be. Reading the books makes movies not as good but in this case for some parts I felt as if you had to read the book to understand. For me I had the background knowledge but if I didn't I think I would have been just a smidgen lost. I also thought that it jumped around too much. But hey, the experience was amazing! And we made history! It was the first time ever, that Kikorian (our movie theater) had a completely sold out show! Every theater seat in the entire theater was taken! Also just the opening weekend of New Moon made more than Star Wars when it was really popular! Overall I had a great time and I look forward to another midnight showing on July 4th 2010 when Eclipse comes out!!!
