Father's Day Weekend

My Father's day weekend was a lot of fun! We went to Borrego to stay with my Grandparents and have some fun! We started off Saturday by going on a short walk, because the dogs got too tired. Then my mom made some really good French toast for breakfast. When we got back from the walk Annie was SOO tired and hot that she started drinking & playing in the water from the sprinklers.
After breakfast you can see we got a little lazy and sat around watching my dad install my grandparents TV.

Brandon and Tracker laid on Annie's bed and watched too. Too bad Tracker's eyes messed up in the picture, they always turn this color! (kinda creepy)

Anyways, after we were done being lazy we went over to "The Gourd Studio" where we were going to take a class on making gourds.

It was fun to learn. In this picture Brandon and I are scraping out our gourds so they will be clean.

Grandpa Tony loves making gourds and his turned out really good!! He carved it out ( it looks way different from Brandon's and mine) and then gave it to the owner for her to sell.

Here are the final products that Brandon and I made! Mine is a Dream Catcher, not too sure what Brandon's is called though.

After the gourd class we went to the neighbor's pool and swam, thank goodness for sun! I got a little tan, my mom got a lot! (as always, she tans soo easy!) Then we got back and got ready for Father's Day / my dad's birthday dinner. Here is our Family photo from the night. :)

After dinner (which was really yummy and fun because we played pool) we went and saw some more of the metal sculptures like last time. They were very cool and this one below was my favorite of them all because it was so captivating and HUGE! It is a bird in its nest with its babies and a snake.

Then we went across the street to look at more and we saw this. We did not know what it was so my Grandpa said it looked like a grasshopper! Silly I know but now to us, it a grasshopper.
Next there was Horses.
Then another bird, this one was catching its prey.

When we were driving home it was very funny due to Grandma's "fluffing" (long but hilarious story. You had to be there to understand). And then my mom made my dad stop the car because in the road we saw a snake! We starred at it and let it pass, in the road it went slow but as soon as it hit the sand it was going really fast!

In the end it was a really fun weekend and it was great to get away from home even if it was only a weekend. And just for Sarah: I didn't blog it actually on Sunday, I scheduled the post for Sunday so it would come on. :) Hope every ones weekend was a fun filled as mine!
